PRSA Portland Metro Chapter

Networking

“Professional development” and “networking” are consistently ranked by members as the most important benefits our organization can provide to ensure member value; however, networking takes many forms. Here are just a few of the ways professionals in the region build — and maintain — relations through membership. Have an idea you’d like to add? Drop us a line using the comment form below.

Fireside Chats

Join your 2015 Chapter President Taraneh Fultz, APR, for a “fireside chat” on the first Saturday of each month at Sisters Coffee Company in the Pearl. Members, prospective members, volunteers  and entrepreneurs are encouraged to drop by for coffee and conversation.

Some of the things we’ve helped with in the past:

  • Interested in volunteering?
  • Want to learn more about membership?
  • New to Portland and trying to figure out who to connect with?
  • Trying to decide whether you should hire a freelancer? An agency? A direct hire?

No agenda. No sales pitch. Just us, helping you.

“Pop in PR” Events

Pop In PR is a quarterly event series designed to give professionals in the region the opportunity to connect, engage and inspire through structured activity, such as happy hour, sporting events and outdoor activities.

Volunteer Service

Looking for a way to network, hone your professional skills and have a great time?  Become a chapter volunteer. With more than 156 ways to “join in,” from two hours a year to two hours a week, we have a variety of opportunities to establish your credibility within the PR community — without sacrificing work-life balance.
