PRSA Portland Metro Chapter

Update: the future of PRSA in Oregon

Oct 16

The polls are closed, and the results are in. We asked you to join the conversation – either directly or at one of our virtual town hall meetings – before casting your ballots on whether to approve the merger among our three Chapters.

Of the members who voted, 93 percent of them were in favor of the merger – and revised bylaws – and the overwhelming majority preferred the name PRSA Oregon Chapter, so that’s what we’ll be called moving forward.

This afternoon, we sent the formal approval request to PRSA National, and now the real work begins. We’re rolling up our sleeves in the fourth quarter to merge our banking, our operations, our programs and services, and our communications.

But before we dive into the transition, let’s take a moment to reflect. Together, we are the founders of the Oregon Chapter, serving all public relations professionals in Oregon and Southwest Washington, and elevating our profession through the strength of our unified community.

Now let’s go shape history.

Yours in service,

Taraneh Fultz
Chair, Statewide Governance Committee
