PRSA Portland Metro Chapter

Get to know 2016 chapter president: Mark Mohammadpour, APR

Jan 16

Q: What do you want to accomplish as chapter president?
A: So many things, but if I had to pick one it’s to build partnerships between our great association and membership with other business leaders in our community. And having a blast making it happen!

Q: What does PRSA mean to you?
A: PRSA is a second family to me of those who care about our profession and live and breathe it every day.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about Portland?
A: The people!

Q: Aside from being FIFA president, where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A: Hanging out with Mrs. M., probably at a soccer game.

Q: Rumor has it that you love accessorizing with scarves, regardless of the season. How many scarves do you own?
A: A few (?) dozen. Probably not enough.

Q: We know that you and your wife are avid #RCTID fans. What do you love about the Timbers?
A: The community. The Timbers organization and the Timbers Army have really helped grow a sense of togetherness, a sense of belonging. More than 2,000 of us went to Columbus in the middle of December for MLS Cup. How cool is that!

Q: Describe yourself in three words.
A: Extroverted. Diplomatic. Joyous.

Q: Who would you cast to play you in a movie about your life?
A: Fred Savage. We have similar hair!

Q: What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
A: Salt and Straw’s cinnamon snicker doodle.

Q: When you were growing up, what did you want to be?
A: An astronaut. There’s still time, right?
