Vice President-Major Gifts

United Way of the Columbia-Willamette has embarked on a ten-year campaign to break the cycle of childhood poverty. Success requires changing results for 50,000 kids and their families in our four county region and enlisting 60,000 people to make sure that happens.

We are hiring a Vice President of Major Gifts to help lead our charge. This person will lead an ambitious year-round Individual Giving Program and team, aggressively grow a major gifts program, and build an emerging planned giving program. S/he will work closely with other United Way leaders in this, including the CEO, board members, and leadership staff, to design and execute integrated fundraising strategies.

Be part of changing the course of our community and reinventing a solid 100-year old brand.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with ten-plus years’ experience leading a major gifts portfolio; an eager leader, passionate for our cause – because we believe passion inspires excellence; a savvy strategist, comfortable doing both big and small things; a connector who understands the power of the diversity of our community; and a terrific communicator who relishes building relationships.
