Job Description:
Contribute to organizational goals and targets through implementation of strategic communications and community relations plans. Coordinate work with Marketing and Creative Services staff to ensure alignment with overall strategy for Legacy Health. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and provide strategic counsel. Have outstanding writing skills, aptitude with social media approaches, and the ability to communicate technical and complex subject matters. Assesses current on neighborhood, city and regional activities that may impact Legacy or where Legacy could make a positive contribution. Help oversee charitable contribution allocations. Serve as liaison with diverse communities and business owners regarding health care system relationships.

Job Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications or Journalism. Relevant experience may be substituted for educational requirements.

A minimum of 7 years’ experience in public relations, media relations, communications, and community relations required. Experience in healthcare, biomed, or insurance sectors preferred. Prefer a minimum of 3 years’ experience in reputation management or community building. Experience in successful collaboration with leadership, physicians, community and other professionals.

Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, physicians, and Legacy leadership/staff.
Demonstrated ability to do systematic, thorough problem solving.
Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.
Ability to effectively summarize and present findings and recommendations
Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
Ability to handle multiple demands and to respond to rapidly changing priorities.
Independent judgment skills to effectively make appropriate decisions related to the position.
Demonstrated ability to both function independently and work closely with others in the organization.
Knowledge of administrative, financial and planning systems.
Knowledge and experience with website strategy and content management, as well as traditional and digital forms of media
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable in accomplishing the goals of an initiative
Knowledge in data management and metric analysis
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to develop and lead teams with department and clinical members.
Knowledge of health care issues, demographics and consumer preference.
Leadership ability to work with senior management and physicians to accomplish objectives of the program and the organization.
Budget management (budgets may range from as little as $10k to as much as $500K)
Ability to translate technical information and present it in clear and relevant way to various audiences.
Able to provide 24-hour pager coverage on a rotating basis with co-workers.
