State Farm InsuranceBrad Hilliard is a Public Affairs professional serving State Farm Insurance. During his 10-year career with this organization Brad has had the privilege of residing in five states and serving consumers in capacities ranging from disaster response, community involvement, public policy and financial services education. Brad obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Middle Tennessee State University. He has been a member of the Portland Metro chapter since 2009.

This year, Brad serves on the PRSA Portland Metro Chapter’s Board as the Director-at-Large of Conferences. Brad is leading the charge, along with OCIABC leadership (and numerous other volunteers), to present the 16th Annual Communicator’s Conference, the premier professional development opportunity for communicators in the Portland metropolitan area and beyond. The Communicator’s Conference is May 9, 2012, at the Governor Hotel.

Workshop: Making an Impact with Video

How can you get started creating your own video content without spending tens of thousands of dollars on production? Join us for this hands-on workshop and walk away with actionable advice on how to produce short, YouTube-style videos. The workshop will include input from your peers and will be led by Julie Yamamoto, APR, account director at CMD, and Jessica Lyness of Northwest Film Center. NEW PROS GET INSIDE LOOK AT BLAZERS’ COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGYAt a recent event on March 22, Corporate Communications Coordinator Kris Koivisto led a group of fellow New Pros on an exclusive tour of the Portland Trail Blazers’ facilities.
